All repairs include function testing before the PC or laptop is returned.
Desktop component replacement covers straightforward single-part swaps (GPU, PSU, RAM, storage). Liquid damage, motherboard/CPU swaps, and multiple simultaneous issues require a custom quote after diagnostic.
⥠PC & Laptop Upgrade Labor Prices
Flat labor rates for installing upgrades you want (as opposed to repairing a failed part). These prices are for labor only — the RAM, SSD, GPU, or cooler itself is quoted/supplied separately.
Multiple upgrades done in the same visit, or full system rebuilds, may qualify for a bundled quote — ask when booking.

Flat rates, no hourly billing. $25 diagnostic, waived if you book the service. Equipment (routers, NAS units, switches) is quoted/supplied separately unless you already own it.
Business/commercial networking, structured cabling, and multi-site setups require a custom quote after consultation.

These prices are for labor only. Replacement parts, specialty shells, screens, batteries, shipping, and any rare components are quoted separately after inspection.
Labor prices do not include replacement parts. Final quote depends on part availability and PSP condition.
Internals are cleaned before being transferred into the new shell because a full teardown is already required. Full teardown cleaning can be added to other repairs.
All internal repairs include function testing before the PSP is returned.
Liquid damage, motherboard trace repair, severe corrosion, missing screws/brackets, and heavily damaged units may require a custom quote.

Straight answers to what people ask most
How long does a custom PC build take?
7–10 days from the day your deposit clears. That covers ordering parts, assembly, and 4+ hours of stress testing before it goes out the door. You'll get an estimated completion date on your receipt.
Why do you require a 50% deposit?
Every build is made to order — your exact parts get purchased for your specific build, not pulled from stock. The deposit covers those parts and locks in current pricing. It's non-refundable once parts are ordered, or a 20% restocking fee applies if you cancel before that.
How long do repairs take?
Most repairs are done in 2–3 days once the needed part is on hand. Diagnostics are $25, and that fee is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
Do you ship, or is it pickup only?
Local pickup in Winnipeg only — cash or e-transfer. No shipping. The upside: you get to inspect and test everything in person before you pay, and if anything ever needs a look, you're dealing with someone local instead of an RMA queue.
Why is there no tax on my invoice?
NexxLvl PCs is currently under the CRA's $30,000 small-supplier threshold, so no GST/PST is charged. The price you're quoted is the price you pay — which works out to roughly 12% less than the same item from a big-box retailer.
Is custom firmware (CFW) on a PSP legal?
Yes — installing custom firmware on hardware you own is legal. You're responsible for making sure any game files you use are legally obtained. The games included on our units are provided for personal backup and preservation purposes.
What if something breaks after I buy it?
Custom PC builds and prebuilt PCs include a 14-day warranty on parts and labour. Repairs carry a 7-day warranty on the specific work performed. PSP refurbs don't include a warranty by default, but you can add 60-day coverage for $25. Game Boy Advance SP refurbs don't include a warranty, paid or otherwise, at this time. Either way, message us — we'd rather fix it than have you stuck with it.
Can I see it working before I pay?
Absolutely, and we'd encourage it. Everything is tested before pickup — PCs get 4+ hours of stress testing, PSPs get a 60-minute burn-in — but you're welcome to power it on, run a game, and check the screen and buttons yourself before any money changes hands.
Do you charge by the hour for repairs or upgrades?
No — PC/laptop repairs, upgrades, and networking services are all flat rate per job, not hourly. You'll know the price before any work starts. See the pricing tables above for exact numbers by service. Parts are always quoted separately after inspection.
Do you work on Game Boy Advance SP and PS Vita too?
Yes — Game Boy Advance SP refurbishment is a new line, currently with one custom build available (see the Game Boy SP page). PS Vita refurbishment and modding is still in the works, with no units available yet — check the PS Vita page or follow @nexxlvlpcs on Instagram for updates.
